A Cool Debate

Debate your friends and foes with this debate component. When building this component I drew on debate.org as an example. With the upcoming elections in the U.S.A. I figure that this will become a very popular extension for joomla. This component integrates with the most popular community extensions for joomla, Community Builder, Jomsocial and CBE. This is the first release candidate of this extension and is ready for users to put it through their test. It is free and still in an early stage.

With Modules Anywhere you can include a single module or complete module positions anywhere in your site, including inside 3rd melanż components and even inside other modules. This component allows you to geocode your profiles, and display its on google maps. Work with Community builder and Jomsocial. - Maps - In the Geocode Factory Component, you can create an unlimited number of Google Maps. Each map has its own parameters, like zoom, zoom range, clustering, size, intro texts, etc... All the maps can be assigned to a menu item. We use the google map Api 3, then the map can be centered dynamically on the physical browser position (for Androids devices, iPhones, iPads, new browser, ...). You can add a text above and/or bellow the map with the profiles count (like "Here is the 234 members"). Html accepted, then you can easy center the map by adding styles around the map. - Markers - Creation of markers from the used component profiles (Community builder or Jomsocial). You can assign multiple markersets to the same map. Each markers groups is based on a filterd group of profile from Community builder, or Jomsocial. And you can select a radius value from the map center or the logged user to show only markers in this radius (showing all users depending a filter, but only the member in a radius of 50km from another filter). In all cases, you can set all type of profiles fields (like name, birthday, picture, ...) and you can set an personal icon to be used as marker, that all in a full customisable html template for the bubble. - Geocode - If you have some existing profiles (few dozen to several thousand), it's easy to fetch the geographical coordinates for them by the user postal address (zipcode, address, country ... etc).
